Summary: Favorable Reviews

Currently, there are no campers who have used the new LX tent and written a review yet! The build and style are nearly identical to the older Copper Canyon Model, which has lots of reviews. People mentioned: That the earlier model, sets up quickly and within minutes, light rain and didn't get any leaks. It's very roomy, and the whole system is engineered to go together with no tools or mallet needed. Definitely room for cots if you desire and plenty of headroom. Incredible value and easy to put up and take down. Overnight it rained a lot and not a drop inside the tent. Comfortably fits a double and twin air mattress.

Summary: Unfavorable Reviews

Currently, there are no people who have used the new LX tent and written a review yet! The build and style are nearly identical to the older Copper Canyon Model, which has lots of reviews. Campers mentioned: That with the earlier model, the door does tend to stick because of tightness at the top. The storage bag seems exceptionally lightweight compared to the tent and poles. As a precaution, it would be best to purchase a tarp to protect the floor. This is a massive tent, so it's not designed for backpacking.

SPECS AND CONFIGURATIONS

The Copper Canyon 8 LX has four windows and two doors and a peak center height of 7' 0, which is a little bit bigger than the average height of the 54 different 8 person tents we have examined With 130 square feet of space inside, it is a little bit smaller than some other 8-person tents, and it could be a little cramped for you and, up to seven other campers during the whole of the 3-seasons, this tent is suggested for use in, larger tents similar to this one can generally make a really nice choice for families that enjoy having plenty of space inside their tent.

One of the great One of the sweet things about cabin tents is, that the walls of the tent are basically vertical making for a generous interior, this makes for a lot more headroom at the sides inside, making it feel much bigger than other types of tents, they also, have a larger sleeping area making them great for families. Normally cabin tents most often used by families going on a camping trip in a car or a truck as they are quite heavy when compared to dome tents. This dose though make them well suited to colder nights. Not all tents are created equal, cabin tents often have a few rooms, the same as the Eureka Copper Canyon two-room tent

PROS

  1. Freestanding. The Copper Canyon LX can support its own weight on any terrain. It does not even have to be staked down in most cases. But in case of strong winds, it is always best to secure it to the floor with the included steel stakes and guylines.
  2. Has Gear Loft. It is nice to see Eureka adding a gear loft in the interior to store some of your things.
  3. Has awnings. The awnings shelter the sides of the tent.
  4. More than one room. The Copper Canyon comes with two rooms, allowing for extra privacy. Ideal for a large family and groups who do not want to be all sleeping together.
  5. Removable divider. For those who want to maximize all of the available space that the Copper Canyon provides, the divider can be detached to have one large room for everyone to share.
  6. More than one door. With 2 doors, it is simpler to get in and out of the tent, in the middle of the night if needed.
  7. More than one window. With 4 openings it is easier to keep the tent cooler on a hot summers night.
  8. Breathable. The Copper Canyon's interior uses a mesh fabric on the inside of the tent, and this helps maximize the flow of air. With the extra ventilation, and this tent is great for use in the warmer months.
  9. Other sizes are available. Eureka has also made this model available in Other Sizes.
  10. Low price. It is a great purchase for a 8 person cabin tent that provides this much room. Not many tents available on the market provide this level of quality for only $499.95

CONS

  1. Sensitive to wind. Because of its size and shape, the Copper Canyon may not do best in strong winds if it is not firmly secured with the provided guy lines and stakes. Even though the tent is listed as freestanding in all but very calm conditions, one would need to stake and tie it down correctly.
  2. Not spacious. With a floor area of 130 square feet, the Copper Canyon 8 is smaller than quite a lot of the 54 other 8 person tents we have looked at.
  3. No Vestibules. If you want to keep your dirty shoes, clothes, and backpacks protected from the rain etc, you will have to keep them inside the tent.
  4. Rainfly does not wholly cover the tent body. The rainfly only covers the ceiling and part of the tent body from the top. Meaning it might not protect against heavy downpours.
  5. Uses Fiberglass poles. Even though the poles are comprised of fiberglass & steel. Using even some fiberglass with a big tent like the Copper Canyon 8 could possibly lead to problems, if there were to be extreemly windy conditions.
  6. Heavy. Even though heavy is not in it self a negative, it is worth noting that the Copper Canyon 8, weighs 31 pounds and has a packed size of 11 x 29 inches. evidently it is designed for camping with a vehicle and would not be super simple to set up on your own.
  7. Footprint not Included. There is no included footprint, The floor may be made of Polyester taffeta but it is still best to protect it further with a footprint, more so on rough terrain.

CONCLUSION

5 Stars Logo

Our Ratings: 5.0 STARS

Eureka's Copper Canyon 8 LX tent is suitable for car camping. There are a few other things not already mentioned above which, were noticed and liked, while reviewing the model: Large mesh windows with waterproof curtains offer scenic views and plenty of ventilation, Near-vertical walls create lots of standing room and are ideal when camping with air mattress and cots and This has the same sturdy frame, fabric and coatings as our original. The windows on the Copper Canyon do zip up the sides to where the LX provides coverage with a toggle at the top. The most exciting new feature of the LX is the extended fly for extra weather protection and a dry entry way..

With great ratings, and a center height of 7' and 130 square feet of space for sleeping, this tent is like your own miniature residence. This will enable you together with 6 other friends to share some really enjoyable time camping together. We found a decent amount of pros about the tent that you can study above.

If you found this website looking for recommendations about this specific tent, we consider, it would make for an excellent purchase. In case you just happened to arrive on this website while looking for a brand new tent having not heard of this manufacurer or this tent before, it is probably a good thing to look at some other similar tents also.

Value for money: As far as value for your money, this tent is more competitive than the average cost of all the fifty-six, eight-person tents we have taken a look at, this itself does not make it great value for money. One should also take into account other factors in-depth, as we do with every tent.

When we measure the ratings of a single tent, we regard plenty of areas, finding things where the tent could perform well against other comparable tents and where it is lacking. In this case, with an overall score of 5.0 and the price knowledge above, we can view that with a ticket price of $499.95 The Copper Canyon 8 LX is a good purchase and reasonably priced in comparison with similar tents.

The overall score shows that the build and size the tent offers were not skimped on to obtain a price well below the normal price for comparable tents. It will make a superb choice for nearly all campers searching for a comfortable three-season cabin tent to go camping in, that should serve you well for years to come.
