The Copper Canyon 4 has four windows and one door and a maximum center height of 7' 0, which is 21 inches more than the average height of the 141 different 4 person tents we have examined With 64 square feet of room inside, it is a little bit smaller than some other 4-person tents, and it could be a little cramped for you and, up to three other campers all through the 3-seasons, this tent is recommended for use in, smaller tents similar to this one can generally make a great choice for people who like spending plenty of hours outside of the tent enjoying the fresh air.

One of the good One of the sweet things about cabin tents is, that the sides are basically vertical making for a larger interior, this makes for a lot more headroom at the sides of the tent, making it feel much bigger than a dome tent, also, they tend to have wider floor areas, so they are great for families. In general cabin tents are used by families going on a camping trip in a car or a truck as they are quite heavy when compared to dome tents. It dose though make them better suited to colder months.

Beneath you can check out an account of the tent's pros and cons.

  1. Freestanding. The Copper Canyon can support its own weight on any terrain. It does not need to be staked down in most cases. But in case of strong winds, it is always best to secure it to the ground with the included steel stakes and guylines.
  2. Plenty of Headroom. With 21% more headroom than similar-sized tents, one can easily count this as a plus.
  3. Has Gear Loft. It is nice to see Eureka adding a gear loft in the interior to store some of your things.
  4. Has awnings. The awnings protect the sides of the tent.
  5. More than one window. With 4 windows it is easier to keep the tent cooler on a hot summers night.
  6. Breathable. The Copper Canyon's interior uses a mesh fabric on the inside of the tent, and this helps maximize the flow of air. With the extra ventilation, and this tent is great for use in the summer.
  7. Available in other sizes. Eureka has also made this model available in Other Sizes.
  8. Low price. It is a great purchase for a 4 person cabin tent that provides this much space. Not a lot of tents available on the market provide this level of quality for only $229.95

  1. Vulnerable to wind. Because of its size and shape, the Copper Canyon may not do best in strong winds if it is not firmly secured with the provided guy lines and stakes. Even though the tent is listed as freestanding in all but very calm conditions, one would want to stake and tie it down correctly.
  2. Not roomy. With a floor area of 64 square feet, the Copper Canyon 4 is smaller than quite a few of the 141 other 4 person tents we have looked at.
  3. No Vestibules. If you want to keep your dirty shoes, clothes, and backpacks protected from the rain etc, you need store them inside the tent.
  4. Rainfly does not wholly cover the tent body. The rainfly only covers the ceiling and part of the tent body from the top. Meaning it may not protect against heavy rain.
  5. Footprint not Included. There is no included footprint, The floor may be made of 75D 190T StormShield polyester taffeta but it is still best to protect it further with a footprint, more so on rough terrain.
  6. Out of Stock. Unfortunately this particular tent is not currently in stock. It is still on the manufactures website the last time we checked.
  7. A little heavy for backpacking. Even though the Copper Canyon 4, looks like a small tent, it is not ideal for backpacking as it weighs 20 pounds. This is quite a lot more than many other backpacking tents
  8. Storage Space. Due to the size of the tent, one cannot store a lot of gear inside..

4.9 Stars Logo

Our Ratings: 4.9 STARS

Eureka's Copper Canyon 4 tent is really good for car camping. Here are a couple of other things not already mentioned above which, were found and liked, while reviewing the model: Zippered E! Power Port allows you to bring an outdoor-grade electrical power cord inside the tent to power phone chargers and other electronics, Near-vertical walls in this cabin-style tent create a spacious interior ideal for cots and airbeds and High-stash pockets and gear loft keep essentials close at hand and easy to reach.

With great ratings, quite a lot of reviews and a minimum headroom of 7' and 64 square feet of area to sleep, this tent is like your own small flat. It enables you together with 2 other people to share some really enjoyable moments enjoying nature. We found a decent amount of pros about the tent that you can check out above.

If you came to this page looking for recommendations about this actual tent, we think, it will make for a good purchase. If you simply happened to arrive on this website while looking for a brand new tent having never heard of this manufacurer or this tent before, it is perhaps a good idea to look at a few more comparable tents also.

Value for money: As far as value for your dollar, this tent is a cheaper than the usual price of all the one hundred and sixty, four-person tents we have studied, this by itself does not make it remarkable value for money. We also need to take into account other factors in detail, as we do for every tent.

When we determine the overall score of a single tent, we consider a lot of areas, looking for areas where the tent could beat other comparable tents and where it is not quite as good. In this case, with a total rating of 4.9 and the price data above, one can conclude that with a ticket price of $229.95 Eureka's Copper Canyon 4 is a very good bargain and fabulously competitively priced in comparison with comparable tents.

Its ratings show that the quality and dimensions the tent offers were not skimped on to arrive at a price tag significantly below the standard price for comparable tents. It should make a remarkable choice for most people looking for an appropriate three-season cabin tent to camp in, that should serve you well for years to come.
