Dome tents are the most common of all the different types of tents you will find when camping. They tend to do better in bad weather than other types, allowing water to roll off the slanted walls, unlike cabin tents that have flat tops, resulting in the rain pooling on the roof. The most straightforward dome tent will have a rectangular footprint, sloped sides two or more poles which cross in the middle of the roof. Because of their construction, it is typically thought of that they are ideal for up to a maximum of 6 campers.
