Easy assembly with pole clips that quickly snap over the tent poles
True to what it says about being waterproof. Lightweight yet durable. The vestibules give a lot of space on both sides. No need to bring the gears inside the tent. I did not have any problem with setting up and taking it down.
Just don't expect that three adults can fit in this tent unless you can agree that the two sleep inside and the other one on the outside. A footprint might be necessary. The floor is kind of made in a thin material the same as the materials used on the walls.
The Extreme 3 has two windows and two doors and a peak center height of 4' 2 which is a little bit less than the average height of the 126 other 3 person tents we have studied. Some of the cool things about dome tents are, that they are for, the most part not too heavy, making them easy to carry. In near all cases, tents used for backpacking are of the dome type. They are generally speaking, freestanding and very straightforward to set up. In good weather, you can do without securing the tent with stakes and ropes, not that this is recommended.
Dome tents are the most commonly seen of all the other types of tents you will see when camping. They tend to do better in the rain than other types, allowing water to easily slide off the sloped walls, unlike cabin tents that have flat tops, resulting in the water pooling on the top of the tent. The most basic dome tent should have a square footprint, sloped walls a couple of poles which cross in the center of the roof. Because of their construction, it is generally thought of that they are ideal for up to a maximum of 6 campers.
