It is also very sturdy against minimal winds. The guylines and its guy outs helped it to stand firmly. The zipper is also excellent. Its positioning and the two-way function suits perfectly. Ventilation works fine also when I used it. Overall, a great tent.

Summary: Unfavorable Reviews

Campers who used the tent said: It is not advisable to be used during strong winds or rainstorms. Although most of the materials are great, the stakes and the pockets are some of the exceptions and needs improvement in terms of quality.

SPECS AND CONFIGURATIONS

The Hubba 1 NX Solo has one door and a peak center height of 3' 0, which is a little bit smaller than the average height of the 77 different 1 person tents we have studied. With 18 square feet of space inside, it is a lot smaller than some other 1-person tents, and it would be quite cramped for you during the 3-seasons, this tent is approved for use in, smaller tents similar to this one make an excellent choice for campers that love spending plenty of time outside their tent getting some air.

Many of the great things about dome tents are, that they are for, the most part light, making them simple to carry around. In most all cases, tents used for backpacking are of the dome type. They are generally speaking, freestanding and very simple to set up. In calm weather, you could do without securing the tent with stakes and ropes, not that this is suggested.

Dome tents are easily the most common of all the various types of tents you will see when camping. They tend to do better in storms than other types, allowing water to roll off the sloped sides, unlike cabin tents that have flat tops, allowing the water to pool on the top. The most straightforward dome tent will have a square footprint, slanted sides a couple of poles which cross in the middle of the roof. Due to the way they are made, it is usually thought of that they are ideal for up to a maximum of 6 campers.

Down below, you can check out an account of the tent's strongest and weakest points.

PROS

  1. Freestanding. The Hubba NX Solo can support its own weight on any terrain. It does not even have to be staked down in most cases. But in case of strong winds, it is always best to secure it to the ground with the included steel stakes and guylines.
  2. Vestibule. Having one vestibule. Affords you a place to store shoes and other things that can get dirty, muddy, this is a huge plus.
  3. Has Gear Loft. It is good to see MSR adding a gear loft in the interior to store some of your things.
  4. Durable, water-resistant floor. The floor material is 30D ripstop nylon DuraShield polyurethane & DWR, which is a substantially thick and high-strength fabric. Meaning the base is not prone to tears and punctures. Also, the material has a 3000 mm waterproofing rating, which is very good for most circumstances.
  5. The rainfly completely covers the tent body. The rainfly covers the entire body of the tent from the top to the bottom and has a waterproof rating of 1200mm. Meaning it will easily protect you against heavy downpours.
  6. Plenty of Positive Reviews The Hubba 1 has Tons of great Reviews
  7. Available in other sizes. MSR has also made this model available in Other Sizes.

CONS

  1. Not roomy. With a floor area of 18 square feet, the Hubba 1 is smaller than quite a lot of the 78 other 1 person tents we have looked at.
  2. Lacking in Headroom. With 5% less headroom than similar sized tents, one can see how this could be a negative thing for some people.
  3. Footprint not Included. There is no included footprint, The floor may be made of 30D ripstop nylon DuraShield polyurethane & DWR but it is still best to protect it further with a footprint, more so on rough terrain.
  4. Sloping walls. Even though Dome tents have lots of attributes to rave about. The sloping sides do tend to make it all the more smaller inside.

CONCLUSION

In case you simply happened to arrive on this page while looking for a new tent having never heard of this manufacture or this tent before, it is possibly a good thing to check out some other comparable tents.

Value for money: When thinking about value for your money, this tent is a little bit more pricier than the normal cost of all the seventy-seven, one-person tents we have studied, all alone this is not a negative thing. One should also think about other factors in detail, as we do with every tent.

When we determine the valuation of a tent, we scrutinize tons of stuff, searching for areas where the tent could beat out other near-identical tents and where it is coming up short. On this occasion, with a total rating of 4.7 and the price conclusions above, one can see that with a price point of $379.95 MSR's Hubba 1 NX Solo is a fantastic deal the purchase price is not at all overpriced when set side by side with comparable tents.
