Tent Set Up

The tent setup and tear down is incredibly easy

Green Thumbs Up Logo

Summary: Favorable Reviews

Easy and quick to set up (can be done in under 3 minutes). One person can carry it. Included carrying bag is big enough for the tent when packed. Good space in the vestibules. Also much space in the inside. No leaks in hard rain.

Teal Thumbs Down Logo

Summary: Unfavorable Reviews

A little heavy for backpacking trips. Setup instructions can be vague for some. No included footprint. Some stitching in the rainfly rip apart too quickly.

The Midori 3 has two doors and a maximum center height of 4' 2, which is a tiny bit smaller than the average height of the 145 different 3 person tents we have studied. With 44 square feet of space inside, it is a tiny bit smaller than some other 3-person tents, and it could be a little cramped for you and, up to two other campers during the 3-seasons, this tent is suggested for use in, smaller tents similar to this one are a nice choice for people who welcome spending plenty of time outside their tent getting some air.

A few of the cool things about dome tents are, that they are for, the most part light, making them simple to carry. In most all instances, tents used for backpacking are of the dome type. They are generally speaking, freestanding and very straightforward to set up. In calm weather, you can do without securing the tent with stakes and ropes, not that this is suggested.

Dome tents are without a doubt the most commonly seen of all the various sorts of tents you will find when camping. They tend to fair better in the rain than other types, allowing rain to easily slide off the sloped walls, unlike cabin tents that have flat tops, resulting in the rain pooling on the top of the tent. The most basic dome tent will have a square footprint, sloped walls a couple of poles which cross in the middle of the roof. Because of the way they are made, it is generally thought of that they are best for up to a maximum of 6 campers.

Underneath you can find an account of the tent's pros and cons.

  1. Freestanding. The Midori can support its own weight on any terrain. It does not even have to be staked down in most cases. But in case of strong winds, it is always best to secure it to the ground with the included steel stakes and guylines.
  2. Vestibules. Having two vestibules. Offers you somewhere to store shoes and other things that can get dirty, muddy, this is a huge plus.
  3. Has Gear Loft. It is good to see Eureka adding a gear loft in the interior to store some of your things.
  4. More than one door. With 2 doors, it is easier to get in and out of the tent, in the middle of the night if needed.
  5. Breathable. The Midori's interior uses a mesh fabric on the inside of the tent, and this helps maximize the flow of air. With the extra ventilation, and this tent is great for use in the warmer months.
  6. The rainfly completely covers the tent body. The rainfly covers the entire body of the tent from the top to the bottom and has a waterproof rating of 1500mm. Meaning it will easily protect you against heavy downpours.
  7. Plenty of Positive Reviews The Midori 3 has Lots of great Reviews
  8. Other sizes are available. Eureka has also made this model available in Other Sizes.
  9. Low price. It is a great deal for a 3 person dome tent that provides this much space. Not a lot of tents available on the market give this level of quality for only $219.95

  1. Not roomy. With a floor area of 44 square feet, the Midori 3 is smaller than quite a few of the 145 other 3 person tents we have looked at.
  2. Footprint not Included. There is no included footprint, there is one available separately designed for the Midori 3 footprint Even though the floor may be made of 68D 185T Polyester taffeta, it is still best to protect it further with a footprint, especially on rough terrain.
  3. A tad heavy for backpacking. Even though the Midori 3, looks like a small tent, it is not ideal for backpacking as it weighs 7 pounds. This is quite a lot more than many other backpacking tents
  4. Sloping walls. Even though Dome tents have heaps of things to rave about. The sloping walls do tend to make it all the more smaller inside.

4.5 Stars Logo

Our Ratings: 4.5 STARS

Eureka's Midori 3 tent is ideal for bicycle & motorbike camping. Here are a few other nice points not noted above which, we found and liked, while reviewing the model: Access zipper to the rear vestibule allows for additional weatherproof storage, Spacious dome design includes an offset ridge pole that increases interior space without packing on the pounds and High/Low Air Exchange Venting.

With exceptional ratings, quite a few reviews and a peak height of 4' and 44 square feet of space for sleeping, this tent is like your very own modest apartment. It allows you to enjoy some really enjoyable moments camping. We found a decent amount of pros about the tent that you can check out above.

If you found this page looking for an endorsement on this specific tent, we consider, it should make for an excellent buy. In case you just happened to land on this website while looking for a brand new tent having not heard of this manufacurer or this tent model previously, it is possibly a good idea to look at a few more comparable tents.

Value for money: In terms of value for money, this tent is without a doubt more competitive than the usual cost of all the one hundred and ninety-four, three-person tents we have looked at, this by itself does not make it remarkable value for money. We also need to take a look at other things in-depth, as we do with every tent.

When we tally up the valuation of a single tent, we consider a good deal of stuff, finding things where the tent could exceed other near-identical tents and where it is not quite as good. On this occasion, with an overall score of 4.5 and the price data above, we can identify that with a price of $219.95 Eureka's Midori 3 is an exceptional deal and incredibly competitively priced when compared with comparable tents.

Its ratings show that the quality and size the tent gives you were not in any way compromised to arrive at a price undoubtedly under the normal price for comparable tents. It is also worth thinking about the fact that it is reduced by 0% from the manufactures suggested retail price. It could make a very good choice for nearly all campers searching for a comfy three-season dome tent to camp in, that should serve you well for years to come.
