Double door and vestibules are what I am looking for in a tent, and that's what this tent gave me. I also love that they gave you two closure options for the doors. Absolutely bomb proof! Overall construction is solid.
I wish they had separate the closure options of the door since its a double setup. They could have included the footprint for this one. That would attract more buyers. It takes around 15 minutes to set up.
The Battle Mountain 2 has one window and two doors and a peak center height of 3' 6 which is a little bit smaller than the average height of the 189 other 2 person tents we have looked at. With 31 square feet of room inside, it is a lot smaller than some other 2-person tents, and it would be quite cramped for you and, another camper all through the 4-seasons this tent is suggested for. Smaller tents similar to this one generally make a really nice choice for people that like spending lots of hours outside their tent getting some air.
Some of the fantastic points about dome tents are, that they are for, the most part lightweight, making them easy to carry around. In near all instances, tents used for backpacking are of the dome type. They are usually, freestanding and very simple to set up. In calm weather, you could do without securing the tent with stakes and ropes, not that this is recommended.
Dome tents are without a doubt the most commonly seen of all the various types of tents you will see when camping. They tend to do better in the rain than other types, allowing rain to roll off the slanted sides, unlike cabin tents that have flat tops, allowing the water to pool on the roof. The simplest dome tent should have a rectangular footprint, slanted walls two or more poles which cross in the middle of the roof. Because of the way they are made, it is typically thought of that they are best for up to a maximum of 6 people.
