Summary: Favorable Reviews

People who bought this tent said: It is pretty easy to set up. It packs down small and easily fits in my pack. Decent stakes and a tub floor are also provided, which you dont usually see in tents like this. It was a good idea to provide for a divvy sack was able to use it when traveling with a friend. Better headroom compared to other models in this price range. Considering its price, it is decent all in all.

Summary: Unfavorable Reviews

Some campers who used it said: Using it in a harsh environment is not a good idea. Though its pretty decent, it is not advisable to use it during strong winds or heavy rains. The sides without the full pole support blow in far. The poles go from corner to corner across one side, but on the other, there is only a top bar, and the stakes/ties provide the support. Rainfly also does not seem to be very efficient when attaching the two corners of the tent.

SPECS AND CONFIGURATIONS

The Blaze 2 has two doors and a peak center height of 3' 4, which is a tiny bit less than the average height of the 235 other 2 person tents we have examined With 30 square feet of room inside, it is considerably smaller than some other 2-person tents, and it would be quite cramped for you and, another camper during the whole of the 3-seasons, this tent is approved for use in, smaller tents similar to this one can generally make an ideal choice for people who enjoy spending plenty of hours outside of their tent exploring.

Many of the great points about dome tents are, that they are under normal circumstances light, making them easy to carry around. In most all cases, tents used for backpacking are of the dome type. They are generally speaking, freestanding and very simple to set up. In good weather, you could do without securing the tent with stakes and ropes, not that this is recommended.

Dome tents are easily the most common of all the various types of tents you will see when camping. They tend to fair better in the rain than other types, allowing water to easily slide off the sloped walls, unlike cabin tents that have flat roofs, resulting in the rain pooling on the roof. The simplest dome tent will have a square floor, sloped walls a couple of poles which cross in the center of the roof. Due to the way they are made, it is typically thought of that they are best for up to a maximum of 6 campers.

Underneath you can see an account of the tent's strongest and weakest points.

PROS

  1. Vestibules. Having two vestibules. Offers you somewhere to store shoes and other items that can get dirty, muddy, this is a huge plus.
  2. Internal storage. It is good to see Nemo Equipment has added a gear loft and pockets in the interior to store some of your things.
  3. More than one door. With 2 doors, it is easier to get in and out of the tent, in the middle of the night if needed.
  4. Breathable. The Blaze's interior uses a mesh fabric on the inside of the tent, and this helps maximize the flow of air. With the extra ventilation, and this tent is great for use in the summer.
  5. Available in other sizes. Nemo Equipment has also made this model available in Other Sizes.

CONS

  1. Not spacious. With a floor area of 30 square feet, the Blaze 2 is smaller than quite a lot of the 246 other 2 person tents we have looked at.
  2. Lacking in Headroom. With 9% less headroom than similar sized tents, one can see how this could be a negative thing for some campers.
  3. Rainfly does not totally cover the tent body. The rainfly only covers the ceiling and part of the tent body from the top. Meaning it might not protect against heavy rain.
  4. Footprint not Included. There is no included footprint, there is one available separately specifically for the Blaze 2 footprint Even though the floor may be made of 20D nylon, it is still better to protect it further with a footprint, especially on rough terrain.
  5. Discontinued: Unfortunately this particular tent has been discontinued on the manufactures site and is not available elsewhere, that we know of.
  6. Sloping walls. Even though Dome tents have lots of qualities to rave about. The sloping sides do tend to make it all the more smaller inside.

CONCLUSION

Our Ratings: 4.3 STARS

Nemo Equipment's Blaze 2 tent is great for backpacking. Here are a few other points not noted above which, were noticed and liked, while reviewing the model: Divvy Sack dual-stage drawstring stuff sack allows you to easily split the tent between 2 people on the trail, Triangulated volumizing guyouts increase interior space and True tub floor construction reduces seams and seam tape, increasing the longevity of the tent.

With wonderful ratings, a few reviews and a center height of 3' and 30 square feet of space for sleeping, this tent is like your own miniature studio. It allows you to spend some real quality time exploring the great outdoors. We found a decent amount of positive points about the tent that you can read through above.

If you found this website looking for an endorsement about this particular tent, our view is, it will make for a good acquisition. In case you simply happened to land on this page while browsing for a new tent having never heard of this manufacture or this tent previously, it is probably a good thing to check out a few other similar tents.

Value for money: When contemplating value for your money, this tent is the same as the standard price of all the two hundred and thirty-five, two-person tents we have taken a look at, all alone this does not make it good value for money. One should also look at other things in detail, as we do for each tent.

When we determine the overall score of an individual tent, we consider plenty of things, looking for points where the tent could beat out other similar tents and where it is coming up short. In this case, with an overall score of 4.3 and the price data above, It is simple to see that with a ticket price of $479.95 The Blaze 2 is a fair purchase the purchase price is not at all expensive when compared with similar tents.

The overall score shows that the quality and space, the tent provides make it a a very good purchasefor people looking for for a good quality 2-person tent. It should make a remarkable choice for nearly all people searching for a comfy three-season backpacking tent to camp with, that should serve you well for years to come.
