Summary: Unfavorable Reviews

Some say that the interior space is too small for two people. There is also no included footprint but it's highly recommended to have one under the tent to preserve the floor material.

The Spitfire 2 has two doors and a peak center height of 3' 7, which is a tiny bit less than the average height of the 220 various 2 person tents we have examined With 39 square feet of space inside, it is considerably larger than some other 2-person tents, and it easily offers enough room for you and, another camper all through the 3-seasons, this tent is suggested for use in, smaller tents similar to this one often can make a fantastic choice for campers who love spending loads of hours outside of the tent enjoying the fresh air.

Some of the cool points about bivy tents are, that they are under normal circumstances not too heavy, making them easy to carry around. In near all cases, tents used for backpacking are of the bivy type. They are generally speaking, freestanding and very easy to set up. In good weather, you can do without guy lines and stakes, not that this is suggested.

Bivy tents are easily the most common of all the various sorts of tents you will find when camping. They tend to do better in the rain than other types, allowing rain to roll off the sloped walls, unlike cabin tents that have flat tops, resulting in the water pooling on the roof. The most straightforward bivy tent will have a rectangular floor, slanted sides two or more poles which converge in the middle of the roof. Because of their construction, it is typically considered that they are best suited for up to a maximum of 6 people.

Down below, you can find an account of the tent's pros and cons.

Click or Tap on the Tab you Want to See!

  1. Vestibule. Having one vestibule. Affords you a place to store shoes and other items that can get dirty, muddy, this is a huge plus.
  2. Internal storage. It is nice to see Eureka has added a gear loft and pockets in the interior to store some of your stuff.
  3. More than one door. With 2 doors, it is simpler to get in and out of the tent, in the middle of the night if needed.
  4. Breathable. The Spitfire's interior uses a mesh fabric on the inside of the tent, and this helps maximize the flow of air. With the extra ventilation, and this tent is great for use in the warmer months.
  5. Available in other sizes. Eureka has also made this model available in Other Sizes.
  6. Low price. It is a great deal for a 2 person bivy tent that provides this much room. Not a lot of tents available on the market provide this level of quality for only $179.95

  1. Lacking in Headroom. With 7% less headroom than similar sized tents, one can see how this could be a negative thing for some campers.
  2. Footprint not Included. There is no included footprint, there is one sold separately designed for the Spitfire 2 footprint Even though the floor may be made of 75D 190T StormShield polyester taffeta, it is still best to protect it further with a footprint, especially on rough terrain.
  3. Out of Stock. Unfortunately this particular tent is not currently in stock. It is still on the manufactures website the last time we checked.

Value for money: As far as value for your money, this tent is undoubtedly more competitive than the usual price of all the two hundred and eighty-seven, two-person tents we have taken a look at, this just by itself does not make it remarkable value for money. One should also take a look at other factors in detail, as we do with each tent.
