Summary: Favorable Reviews

Campers who used it said: This is a fantastic lightweight backpacking tent. Easy to set up, very comfortable. Another notable, there are no corners cut on features to save weight (e.g., pockets, zippers, door-stays, etc. I have spent many hours in rainstorms in this tent with a friend, and we both comfortably sat up and played cards and hung out for hours.

Summary: Unfavorable Reviews

People who bought this tent said: It's relatively roomy, yet if not pitched correctly, the "head and feet" ends will sag a bit. I wish there were a couple more inside pockets.

SPECS AND CONFIGURATIONS

The Tracker 1 has one door and a peak center height of 3' 3, which is a little bit smaller than the average height of the 79 different 1 person tents we have studied. With 23 square feet of space inside, it is a tiny bit smaller than some other 1-person tents, and it could be a little tight for you all through the 3-seasons, this tent is recommended for use in, smaller tents similar to this one make an awesome choice for people that welcome spending loads of time outside of the tent enjoying the fresh air.

Some of the great things about dome tents are, that they are for, the most part light, making them easy to carry around. In nearly all instances, tents used for backpacking are of the dome type. They are usually, freestanding and very straightforward to set up. In good weather, you could do without securing the tent with stakes and ropes, not that this is suggested.

Dome tents are without a doubt the most commonly seen of all the various types of tents you will find when camping. They tend to do better in bad weather than other types, allowing rain to roll off the slanted sides, unlike cabin tents that have flat roofs, resulting in the rain pooling on the top. The most straightforward dome tent should have a square footprint, sloped walls two or more poles which cross in the middle of the roof. Because of the way they are made, it is typically considered that they are best suited for up to a maximum of 6 campers.

Underneath you can find a list of the tent's pros and cons.

PROS

  1. Vestibule. Having one vestibule. Offers you somewhere to store shoes and other items that can get dirty, muddy, this is a huge plus.
  2. Internal storage. It is nice to see Nemo Equipment has added a gear loft and pockets in the interior to store some of your gear.
  3. The rainfly completely covers the tent body. The rainfly covers the whole body of the tent from the top to the bottom and has a waterproof rating of 1200mm. Meaning it will easily protect you against heavy downpours.
  4. Other sizes are available. Nemo Equipment has also made this model available in Other Sizes.

CONS

  1. Not spacious. With a floor area of 23 square feet, the Tracker 1 is smaller than quite a lot of the 80 other 1 person tents we have looked at.
  2. Footprint not Included. There is no included footprint, The floor may be made of 15D Sil/PeU Nylon Ripstop but it is still best to protect it further with a footprint, more so on rough terrain.
  3. Out of Stock. Unfortunately this particular tent is not currently in stock. It is still on the manufactures website the last time we looked.
  4. Sloping walls. Even though Dome tents have lots of attributes to rave about. The sloping walls do tend to make it all the more smaller inside.

CONCLUSION

4.1 Stars Logo

Our Ratings: 4.1 STARS

Nemo Equipment's Tracker 1 tent is ideal for backpacking. Here are a few other nice points not noted above which, we noticed and liked, while researching the model: Attachable Landing Zone offers an exterior waterproof zone to keep essential gear organized and dry, White No-See-Um Mesh on side panels adds privacy and keeps out bugs and condensation and Protected by the NEMO Lifetime Warranty..

With wonderful ratings, and headroom of 3' and 23 square feet of space for sleeping, this tent is like your own small studio. This will enable you to enjoy some really enjoyable time in the outdoors. We found a decent amount of positive points about the tent that you can read through above.

If you came to this page looking for an endorsement about this actual tent, our view is, it would make for a good buy. In case you just happened to arrive on this website while looking for a new tent having never heard of this brand or this tent model before, it is perhaps a good thing to check out a few other comparable tents.

Value for money: When thinking about value for your money, this tent is wee bit more competitive than the usual cost of all the seventy-nine, one-person tents we have taken a look at, this by itself does not make it good value for money. We also need to take into account other factors in detail, as we do with each tent.

When we tally up the overall score of an individual tent, we reflect upon a good deal of stuff, finding areas where the tent could outshine other similar tents and where it is lacking. On this occasion, with an overall score of 4.1 and the price statistics above, we can recognize that with a ticket price of $349.95 The Tracker 1 is a decent bargain and reasonably priced in comparison with comparable tents.

Its ratings show that the quality and size the tent gives you were not skimped on to finish up with a price tag well below the usual price for similar tents. It could make an awesome choice for most campers searching for a comfortable three-season backpacking tent to go camping in, that will serve you well for years to come.
