Summary: Favorable Reviews

People who used this tent said: Perfect for those minimalists. The design of this tent is just right. The door/net design allows for star-gazing and prevents condensation when its not raining. This is a real upgrade when you are using the usual bivy sack of other tents. The room inside is also big enough that you can change clothes or put some gears. In addition to that, they also include a mesh pocket inside for storing your small things like your phone or electronics. Setting this tent up will not also a problem because first-time users can do it with ease.

Summary: Unfavorable Reviews

Experienced campers who used the tent said: Stakes quality is just terrible. They bent on the first day of using it. There are also no vestibules which mean no covered storage space outside the shelter area. Condensation is also poor. It is not advisable you use it during heavy rains or substantial winds.

SPECS AND CONFIGURATIONS

The Gogo Elite Airbeam 1 has one door and a maximum center height of 2' 2, which is 15 inches smaller than the average height of the 79 various 1 person tents we have examined With 19 square feet of room inside, it is a lot smaller than some other 1-person tents, and it would be quite cramped for you during the 3-seasons, this tent is approved for use in, smaller tents similar to this one are a suitable choice for campers who love spending loads of hours outside of the tent enjoying the fresh air.

Many of the cool things about bivy tents are, that they are for, the most part lightweight, making them simple to carry. In nearly all instances, tents used for backpacking are of the bivy type. They are usually, freestanding and very straightforward to set up. In calm weather, you could do without securing the tent with stakes and ropes, not that this is recommended.

Bivy tents are without a doubt the most common of all the different sorts of tents you will find when camping. They tend to fair better in bad weather than other types, allowing water to easily slide off the slanted sides, unlike cabin tents that have flat tops, allowing the water to pool on the top of the tent. The most straightforward bivy tent should have a rectangular floor, sloped walls two or more poles which cross in the middle of the roof. Due to their construction, it is generally considered that they are best for up to a maximum of 6 people.

PROS

  1. Vestibule. Having one vestibule. Gives you somewhere to store shoes and other things that can get dirty, muddy, this is a huge plus.
  2. Internal storage. It is nice to see Nemo Equipment has added a gear loft and pockets in the interior to store some of your gear.

CONS

  1. Not spacious. With a floor area of 19 square feet, the Gogo Elite Airbeam 1 is smaller than quite a few of the 80 other 1 person tents we have looked at.
  2. Lacking in Headroom. With 15% less headroom than similar sized tents, one can see how this could be a negative factor for some campers.
  3. Footprint not Included. There is no included footprint, The floor may be made of 15D PeU Nylon Ripstop but it is still best to protect it further with a footprint, especially on rough terrain.
  4. Discontinued: Unfortunately this particular tent has been discontinued on the manufactures site and is no longer available elsewhere, that we are aware of.

CONCLUSION

Our Ratings: 3.7 STARS

Nemo Equipment's Gogo Elite Airbeam 1 tent is good for backpacking. There are a couple of other nice points not noted above which, were found and liked, while researching the model: Airbeams inflate in seconds from outside or inside so you can stay dry , ExoFly morphing vestibule lets you store gear inside and Swallowtail pattern at the foot end allows you to tension the bivy over your sleeping bag .

With ok ratings, a decent amount of reviews and a peak height of 2' and 19 square feet of space to play with, this tent is like your own modest home away from home. It will enable you to spend some real quality time exploring the great outdoors. We found a decent amount of pros about the tent that you can look at above.

If you found this page looking for an endorsement about this specific tent, our view is, it would make for an ok purchase. If you just happened to land on this website while looking for a brand new tent having not heard of this brand or this model before, it is perhaps a good idea to check out some more similar tents.

Value for money: In terms of value for your dollar, this tent is more expensive than the average price of all the seventy-nine, one-person tents we have taken a look at, this alone is not a negative thing. We also need to think about other areas in detail, as we do with each tent.

When we determine the overall score of an individual tent, we consider tons of stuff, looking for things where the tent could exceed other similar tents and where it is lacking. In this case, with an overall score of 3.7 and the price data above, we can see that with a ticket price of $449.95 The Gogo Elite Airbeam 1 is a good deal though it may be considered quite expensive when set side by side with similar tents.

The overall score shows that the build and capacity the tent provides make it a good choice for people wanting a tent that can last for a few years. It could make a decent choice for nearly all campers searching for a comfy three-season backpacking tent to camp in, that should serve you well.
