Summary: Unfavorable Reviews

It lacks a bit of height. The interior is a little small for 4 people. Some poles can be easily broken or splintered. Some buyers report holes in the floor.

The Tetragon HD 4 has one window and one door and a maximum center height of 5' 0, which is a tiny bit smaller than the average height of the 140 other 4 person tents we have studied. With 64 square feet of space inside, it is a little bit smaller than some other 4-person tents, and it could be a little tight for you and, up to three other campers all through the 3-seasons, this tent is suggested for use in, smaller tents like this one are a very good choice for campers that welcome spending plenty of time outside the tent exploring.

A few of the great things about dome tents are, that they are for, the most part lightweight, making them simple to carry around. In near all cases, tents used for backpacking are of the dome type. They are generally speaking, freestanding and very simple to set up. In good weather, you could do without securing the tent with stakes and ropes, not that this is recommended.

Dome tents are easily the most commonly seen of all the various sorts of tents you will see when camping. They tend to do better in storms than other types, allowing water to roll off the slanted sides, unlike cabin tents that have flat roofs, allowing the rain to pool on the top. The most straightforward dome tent will have a square footprint, slanted walls two or more poles which cross in the center of the roof. Due to their construction, it is typically thought of that they are ideal for up to a maximum of 6 people.

Below you can browse an account of the tent's pros and cons.

  1. Freestanding. The Tetragon HD can support its own weight on any terrain. It does not even have to be staked down in most cases. But in case of strong winds, it is always best to secure it to the floor with the included steel stakes and guylines.
  2. Has Gear Loft. It is nice to see Eureka adding a gear loft in the interior to store some of your things.
  3. Lots of Positive Reviews The Tetragon HD 4 has Plenty of excellent Reviews
  4. Available in other sizes. Eureka has also made this model available in Other Sizes.
  5. Low price. It is a great deal for a 4 person dome tent that provides this much space. Not many tents available on the market provide this level of quality for only $149.95

  1. Not roomy. With a floor area of 64 square feet, the Tetragon HD 4 is smaller than quite a lot of the 140 other 4 person tents we have looked at.
  2. No Vestibules. If you want to keep your dirty shoes, clothes, and backpacks protected from the elements, you must store them inside the tent.
  3. Rainfly does not completely cover the tent body. The rainfly only covers the ceiling and part of the tent body from the top. Meaning it may not protect against heavy downpours.
  4. Footprint not Included. There is no included footprint, The floor may be made of 63D 190T Polyester taffeta but it is still best to protect it further with a footprint, especially on rough terrain.
  5. A tad heavy for backpacking. Even though the Tetragon HD 4, looks like a small tent, it is not probably the best choice for backpacking as it weighs 8 pounds. This is quite a lot more than many other backpacking tents
  6. Sloping walls. Even though Dome tents have heaps of things to rave about. The sloping sides do tend to make it all the more smaller inside.
  7. Storage Space. Due to the size of the tent, one cannot store a lot of gear inside..

4.6 Stars Logo

Our Ratings: 4.6 STARS

Eureka's Tetragon HD 4 tent is great for bicycle & motorbike camping. Here are a couple of other nice points not already mentioned above which, were noticed and liked, while researching the model: This freestanding, two-pole dome architecture includes a fiberglass frame with clips and ring/pin corner assemblies to ensure fast, easy setup, Includes the exclusive E! Media Center in-tent entertainment hub for quiet time or rainy days, plus two storage pockets and a gear loft and Bathtub floor and fully seam taped construction keep water out.

With exceptional ratings, plenty of reviews and headroom of 5' and 64 square feet of space to play with, this tent is like your own small apartment. It allows you and up to 2 other people to spend some real quality moments in the outdoors together. We found a decent amount of positive points about the tent that you can study above.

If you came to this page looking for suggestions on this actual tent, we think, it should make for an awesome acquisition. In case you simply happened to land on this page while looking for a new tent having never heard of this brand or this tent previously, it is perhaps a good idea to check out a few other similar tents.

Value for money: When thinking about value for money, this tent is unquestionably cheaper than the normal price of all the one hundred and fifty-nine, four-person tents we have taken a look at, this by itself does not make it excellent value for money. We also need to take into account other factors in-depth, as we do with each tent.

When we measure the valuation of a tent, we examine a good deal of stuff, searching for areas where the tent could outshine other similar tents and where it is coming up short. In this case, with an overall rating of 4.6 and the price data above, It is simple enough to view that with a cost of $149.95 Eureka's Tetragon HD 4 is a perfect buy and fabulously competitively priced in comparison with similar tents.

Its ratings show that the build and capacity the tent gives you were not in any way compromised to finish up with a price undoubtedly below the average price for comparable tents. It should make an exceptional choice for nearly all campers looking for an adequate three-season dome tent to go camping in, that should serve you well for years to come.
