This tent is a breeze to set up and carry.
This a unique model from Big Agnes, I was amazed by the extended pole vestibule feature. It has been especially useful to store some of my extra things.
I would not advise to use it during strong wind or heavy rain. It may not stand up well. My assessment is It can only handle moderate weather.

Many of the great things about dome tents are, that they are for, the most part lightweight, making them simple to carry around. In near all instances, tents used for backpacking are of the dome type. They are generally speaking, freestanding and very easy to set up. In calm weather, you can do without securing the tent with stakes and ropes, not that this is recommended.
Dome tents are the most commonly seen of all the different types of tents you will see when camping. They tend to do better in storms than other types, allowing rain to easily slide off the sloped sides, unlike cabin tents that have flat tops, resulting in the water pooling on the top. The simplest dome tent will have a rectangular footprint, slanted sides two or more poles which cross in the center of the roof. Because of their construction, it is usually considered that they are ideal for up to a maximum of 6 campers.
