This tent is a breeze to set up and carry.
This a unique model from Big Agnes, I was amazed by the extended pole vestibule feature. It has been especially useful to store some of my extra things.
I would not advise to use it during strong wind or heavy rain. It may not stand up well. My assessment is It can only handle moderate weather.

Many of the cool points about dome tents are, that they are generally speaking lightweight, making them easy to carry. In nearly all cases, tents used for backpacking are of the dome type. They are generally speaking, freestanding and very easy to set up. In calm weather, you could do without guy lines and stakes, not that this is suggested.
Dome tents are the most common of all the other types of tents you will find when camping. They tend to do better in the rain than other types, allowing rain to easily slide off the sloped walls, unlike cabin tents that have flat tops, allowing the water to pool on the roof. The most straightforward dome tent will have a square footprint, slanted sides a couple of poles which converge in the center of the roof. Due to the way they are made, it is generally considered that they are best suited for up to a maximum of 6 people.
